Hey smartypants! Every Tuesday at 20:00 our little bar in Josefstadt (1080 Vienna) turns into a quiz arena. 20 questions, 20 songs, in English and German. Free to play, teams of up to 5, and if you get all 20 right, 200 € in cash are yours. Just reserve a table first.

The night

how a quiz night goes

  1. 19:30Arrive, grab a drink, get comfy.
  2. 20:00Quiz time: question, song, question, song.
  3. After 10 questionsShort break, refill, rethink question 7.
  4. After 20 questionsWe collect your answers and start correcting.
  5. Around 22:30Answers are read out and the smartypants of the night are crowned to thunderous applause.

the music bit

After every question we play a song, anywhere between Sabrina Carpenter, Paramore and Billy Talent. Guess artist and title for the music ranking. Sometimes the song is a hint, sometimes it's just a banger. Yes, your emo phase finally pays off.

Every few weeks the pub quiz gets a costume. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Brooklyn99, New Girl and whatever fandom we fall in love with next. Usually on a Wednesday: doors open at 19:00, the quiz starts at 20:00, with themed drinks and decorations. Tickets are on Luma and go fast. Costumes are very welcome, and sometimes our team dresses up too.

What kind of questions do you ask?

Classic trivia categories, just like those colorful little pies in Trivial Pursuit: history, science, pop culture, music, technology, or just fun facts you can brag about the next time you see your friends.

Is the pub quiz in English or German?

Both. We read every question in English and German, so locals, expats and tourists can play together. Your answers can be in either language. Or in emoji, we're not picky.

How much does it cost?

Nothing. Our regular quiz on Tuesdays is free to play, you just need a table reservation. Drinks are on you, unless you win the voucher ;) Our special pop culture quizzes (like Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings) are ticketed, grab your ticket on Luma.

Do I need to reserve a table?

Yes, please. Tuesdays get packed *fingers crossed* so we can only fit teams with a reservation. Booking your table online takes about a minute. Feeling spontaneous? Give us a quick call at +43 1 402 22 41 or write us on Instagram and we'll check if there's still room.

How big can a team be? Can I come alone?

Up to 5 people per team. Solo players and duos are very welcome, and yes, small teams win too. Everybody loves an underdog story.

How long does the quiz take?

We start at 20:00 sharp-ish and finish around 22:30, with a short break after 10 questions. Come at 19:30 to grab a drink and settle in.

Can I use my phone?

Phones are only allowed for two things: Google reviews and Insta stories.

What about the themed quiz nights?

Every few weeks we host themed quizzes, like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Brooklyn99 or New Girl, usually on a Wednesday. Doors open at 19:00, the quiz starts at 20:00 and ends around 22:30. Tickets are on Luma and go fast. Costumes are very welcome, and sometimes our team dresses up too.

Can we eat and drink during the quiz?

Absolutely. Six craft beers on tap, Prosecco, cocktails and snacks like our pizza pretzel fresh out of the oven, hummus plate or olives. Brain food, basically.
